The following knives are being offered from Ted's brother, Barry Frizzell.

"Elk Antler IGF "

Ted made this knife for me over 15 years ago. It is absolutely one of the finest Bowies to ever come out of his shop. It is the only elk handled IGF [Integral Guard Fighter] with fully sharpened double grinds ever made. The awesome deep grinds were finished by Chester Dozier [son of Bob Dozier, and a fine knife maker in his own right] when he worked in Ted's shop.

I have never carried, used, or had this knife re-sharpened. I will ask Ted to hone the edges for the new owner. There are a few scratches on the blade from being in and out of the sheath and some light speckling around the handle as that was not parkerized.

The knife is 17 inches overall with a blade length of 10 3/8 inches, 2 3/16 inches wide at the ricasso, and 3 inches wide at the guard. It has an 8 inch fully ground and sharpened back grind. The thickness is 1/4 inch. Made of 5160 high carbon spring type steel and zone hardened for toughness and flexibility. Tough and sharp.

Handle material is thick Elk antler scales held to the tang with epoxy resin and three brass pins. Single lanyard hole at the end of the tang.

Black parkerized finish to help prevent corrosion and sharp enough to bark hair. The sheath is of form fitted black kydex with brass grommets and belt loop.

"Stag Bowie Set "

In 2001 I asked Ted to design a set of Presentation Bowies in his most ordered patterns, the K-12 and White River. Ted made this set of knives for me in 2002. It is one of only 6 serial numbered sets of knives to ever come out of his shop. These are the ONLY serial numbered knives that have come from MMHW. Sets number 1 through 5 are long gone and this is the last of the best, serial number 0, the prototypes [see pics]. I will include a letter of authenticity with the set.

I will absolutely guarantee that there will never be a set like these from MMHW again. Just an awesome pair.

The knives are each 17 3/4 inches overall with a blade length of 12 inches, 2 1/2 inches wide. Both grinds are polished ; but, the false grinds are not sharpened. The thickness is 1/4 inch. Made of 5160 high carbon spring type steel and zone hardened for toughness and flexibility. Tough and sharp.

Handle material is of old genuine India Sambar stag that Ted had in his shop from the early 80's. Just beautiful stuff. These are full tang knives and the stag is about 5 inches around. Very large and displays beautifully. The double guards are of brass with a leather spacer. Two hand hammered brass pins plus pommel caps are also of brass and flat [my pic is off to the side, sorry]
